Really disappointed with the comments from Athletics and the administration…. They know better. Pretending that this is about student athletes, competition or anything other than greed is ridiculous. It’s a shame we don’t have more balanced leadership. It’s also not clear this will lead to greater Revenue for Michigan among others. You’d have to start with the expectation that revenue will grow by more than it would have by simply adding two teams subtracting the additional expenses. Moreover the lack of long term institutional respect seems short sighted. Leadership is about think of broader goals than your own narrow interests.
Let’s say it out loud….this expansion stuff is stupid
