I talked with his dad, Steve, this afternoon and just to be clear he did not tell me which school he would be committing to at 5pm Pacific.
But Daniels' dad did tell me he was ready to make the decision and that he absolutely loved his time especially with Pep Hamilton this weekend. Steve Daniels said JT has about "10 pages of notes" on things he can work on heading into his junior season and that he loved his interactions.
The chalk talk stuff was phenomenal and that's a big piece of what Daniels is looking for in his decision.
I don't know if it's USC or Michigan but it certainly seems like only those two in the running. Daniels has absolutely loved his trips to USC as well so in a little over an hour we shall see how this turns out.
