Although he told me that Michigan spoiled its shot to land him with a no-show against Ohio State in November, the recruiting tale doesn't look final for Lakeland (Fla.) Lake Gibson 2016 defensive tackle Keyshon Camp. The 6-3, 274-pounder pulled back from his pledge to USC last night, and now it sounds like the Wolverines are right back in the mix for the No. 38 defensive tackle nationally and No. 56 overall senior in Florida.

He now says he has a top three of Michigan, Missouri, and Pitt. He'll take an official visit to Missouri next weekend, but all three are on the table. Ohio State just offered last week, but he feels like the late offer indicates he's low-priority for them, so he's not sure if he'll try to make it on a visit (even though the Buckeyes want to convince him to do so).

I still wouldn't call Michigan the favorite, despite one of his best friends, freshman defensive end/linebacker Rueben Jones, being on the roster. There are a couple of reasons for that, one of which is his attitude in the above-linked story toward U-M. In addition, Missouri's new defensive line coach is Chris Wilson, who spent the last two years coaching at USC and was Camp's primary recruiter for the Trojans. Of course, whether Michigan even still wants Camp is another factor. They have plenty of defensive linemen on the board, and most of those guys are at least similarly talented (and to date, none have accused the Michigan team of giving up in a game).

In all, while Michigan is still on the table, Mizzou seems like the most likely landing spot. The Wolverines' coaches can change that if they bury the hatchet and put in a hard pursuit, but that doesn't seem like it's a priority.
