Michigan basketball's make-up games will include Michigan State and likely cause a shift in the schedule. Here's the latest ...

From our colleagues in East Lansing, the Big Ten will switch the schedule so Juwan Howard's team plays the Spartans twice to end the season, making up the early February game that was postponed due to the COVID-related pause. That means the home game with Iowa will be moved to middle of next week.

The Wolverines had six days between games at Ohio State (Sunday) and Indiana (Feb. 27), but will now face the Hawkeyes in the middle of the week rather than playing in early March. It will still be a home contest.

There will be one more make-up game ... and that's Illinois, per a source at the Big Ten office in Chicago. That game will also be at home the final week of the season, giving U-M three games in six games to finish the year. As of now, it appears that game will be March 2.

A game at Northwestern had been considered, per our folks in the Windy City, but it appears they won't be able to squeeze that one in.

So Michigan will finish the conference slate with 17 games, it appears. They're currently 10-1 in conference with six games to play, starting Sunday with the Buckeyes.

The final six games, then:

@ OSU
Iowa
@Indiana
Illinois
MSU
@MSU

This is where things stand as of now. Watch for more details in the hours to come ...
