Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh continues to make changes to his staff. As reported late last week, former tight ends coach Sherrone Moore will be moving to offensive line coach and co-offensive coordinator, moving Ed Warinner out.
So what's next for Ed?
Interviews with NFL teams, for one. We've heard he met with the Detroit Lions for a long time this weekend (virtually). If that doesn't happen, it appears he could still have a role on Harbaugh's staff as Special Analyst and Assistant to the Head Coach.
He would not have a hands-on role with the O-line, we believe (but have not confirmed).
For those still hoping for a "wow" hire on offense ... forget about Tom Herman. Our source says he is telling folks interested (at least those interested in him as an O.C.) that he is going to take a year off to spend with family and watch his son play football.
Finally, there's going to be a lot of movement on the analyst front. As we noted, Tennessee's Garrett Cox is expected to join the staff on the defensive side, but there will be much more.
Watch for more developments in the days to come ...
