Darien (Conn.) three-star offensive tackle Andrew Stueber is a solid take and a lock to sign with Michigan. The 6-6, 305-pounder is playing at an extremely high level as a senior and is expected to be very solid at Michigan. As the No. 69 offensive tackle in the country, he’s not an immediate impact kind of guy but he’s dominating in his region and looks much better on tape as a senior. The trajectory for him at Michigan is to learn, develop and prepare for two to three years and then contribute at a high level when his time comes.

Pinson (Ala.) Clay five-star wide receiver Nico Collins was treated like a king during his visit and thoroughly enjoyed his time spent with friend and Michigan commit J’Marick Woods. With Woods being from Florence, Ala. and recruiting staffer Bam Richards being from Prattville, Ala., Collins felt very comfortable around everyone involved with his visit. The 6-5, 193-pounder received an incredibly warm welcome when walking around the field during pregame yesterday and could not stop smiling. The feeling around the program is that Michigan is way out front for the No. 4 wide receiver and No. 23 overall player in the country, but even still, he’ll receive the full-court press from the staff during the month of January.

The weekend visit couldn’t have gone better for Highland Springs (Va.) four-star offensive tackle Mekhi Becton. People close to the program even thought he may commit before heading home but Becton himself told me he wasn’t quite ready. The 6-7, 325-pounder was observed as absolutely huge and is now considered an immediate take for the staff. He’s a bit of a project but his size and athleticism has him climbing Michigan’s board. He’s considered the No. 21 offensive tackle and No. 189 overall player in the country and would be a nice pull from the talent-rich DMV region.

Expect things to cool between Michigan and El Cerrito (Calif.) four-star offensive tackle Aaron Banks after this weekend’s visit. The 6-7, 335-pounder didn’t look as good as Becton on the hoof and that has him trending in an opposition direction. As the No. 15 offensive tackle and No. 101 overall prospect in the country, he’ll have other options but Michigan won’t be one of them moving forward.

One of the bigger story lines heading into the weekend was the return of Leesburg (Ga.) Lee County four-star defensive tackle Aubrey Solomon. The No. 4 defensive tackle and No. 94 overall player in the country was once committed to Michigan but opened things back up after a thank you-note gaff. Georgia turned up the heat on Solomon following his decommitment and things seemed to be over between he and U-M. The talented big man returned to Ann Arbor this weekend with his mother and Michigan is now looked at as the potential frontrunner again. Mom seemed to really like Ann Arbor and was shown some things on Sunday revolving around academics and student life that made her very comfortable with the idea of sending her son all the way up north for college. It went so well that the thought of recommitting crossed Solomon’s mind but he decided to wait and stay patient for the rest of his recruitment. Things are definitely back in great shape with him though.

Detroit Cass Tech three-star safety Jaylen Kelly-Powell was a late arrival for yesterday’s game but loved what he saw on the field. His status has not changed and he’s fully expected to be a Wolverine by mid-December. The 6-0, 180-pounder may already have done and said some things making it a guarantee but he’ll still wait a bit longer and commit on his own terms. The No. 31 safety in the country has been in this boat for a while and an unofficial visit yesterday only reaffirmed his feelings.

That also bodes well for Michigan's chances with his cousin, Detroit Martin Luther King four-star cornerback Ambry Thomas, and his five-star teammate, wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones. All three of them are early enrollees so December could be a big, big month for U-M in the city of Detroit.

Lindenhurst (N.Y.) Lindenhurst Senior four-star tight end Jeremy Ruckert is one of Michigan’s top targets at the position in the 2018 class. He really likes Ann Arbor and had a great time during his unofficial visit yesterday. He spent the night before heading back home and had a lot of time to get a feel for what it would be like living in the area. The 6-6, 215-pounder is a physical specimen and has the potential to be a very dangerous receiving threat at tight end in college. His abilities have him ranked as the No. 7 tight end and No. 133 overall prospect in the country. Michigan was one of his first offers and that has stuck with him as well. People around the program expect Michigan to be a serious player for him throughout his process.
