IMHO, we're going to lose at least 4 games.

I just don't buy the hype. I mean I'm just not feeling it. Am I giving up? No, but I'm not delusional; I'm a realist.

well you are the expert right? so nobody improves over the course of a season with good coaching? seems like a waste to even play out the season.

I just finished watching the game from DVR (I was at the game last week). My impressions were stronger after watching the replay. The first half UM was tentative, the 2nd half they played a much stronger game except for the running back who still can't find an opening. Who knows what would have happened if UM had made the 3rd and 4th down one-yard? Who knows if Rudick puts a little less air on 3 long passes. Who knows what happens if #9 doesn't turn the wrong way twice (for interceptions) in the first half. btw, who knows if the RBs ever blocked on blitzes.

I'm saying the game was inches away from being a win. Football is a game of inches. This was the first game for an entirely new staff and many new faces on offense. I definitely see more potential with these guys, more drive than last year's efforts.

8-4 was pretty much the consensus among football mags; some optimists had it at 9-3; others 7-5. It's still likely to be in that range, 7 to 9 wins. Maybe there's an upset out there against either MSU or OSU.

I didn't think we had a chance against Michigan or Penn State this year but Rutgers should beat one or both teams this year after seeing the first games. Definitely no improvement at a Penn State and a little at Michigan.

4 losses would give Harbaugh the Coach of the Year award.

Utah - MSU - OSU - Minnesota and Northwestern are (almost) sure losses - BYU - PSU - Maryland - Rutgers and Indiana are toss-ups. Oregon State and UNLV should be sure wins.

You're looking at anything between 2-10 and 7-5.

I am primarily looking for two things by signing day in February 2016:
  1. Measurable improvements in toughness, aggressiveness, smart plays, and wins over the course of the season, including progressions from the first game to the last (most seasons since 2000 UM has declined in the quality of its performance as the season progressed, including its best years 2003 and 2006.
  2. Clear recruiting progress in restocking the talent-base of our team, particularly on the offensively line and at wide receiver [so far so good on the OL/ come on down Mr. Corley and make our day].
