acknowledge the need to improve his team’s defense, and hire Luke Yacklich, why can’t Harbaugh do the same with the offense?
Maybe coach B can be the example that is needed for Harbaugh to change offensive philosophy.
Defense certainly let us down, but this offense is stuck in the 1980’s.
Look back at the season, and in our toughest games (Wisconsin, MSU, Penn State) the games were still close at the end of third quarter. Better offensive teams, with this defense would have put those games out of reach much before then.
And in the Wisconsin and PSU games we had a pick six in each to add to the scoring total.
I don’t think we need to go no huddle, up tempo all the time, but we need a more aggressive stomp on your throat mentality on offense.
