We have almost unanimously said that we like the Harbaugh approach, but if you're the head coach of Michigan and your top goal is to actually go into these fertile recruiting territories and make your presence felt, then there was a far better way to do so without raising attention. They simply could have done this on the down low. Agreed to the camps, and even let the local camps market that Michigan coaches, including Jim, were coming. Maybe you don't get as many kids, but it still gives U-M coaches the chance to go into these places and set up shop and make some connections.
