This board can be very frustrating at times and sometimes really informative with great conversations. However it seems over the last few years the board as a whole has been looking for any reason to complain (I know ironic that this is a complaint post) about every little thing that happens that they perceive as "bad". I think most of it stems from the RR era and then continued with Hoke.
I realize some here had the fantasy that Harbaugh was going to come in here and play for a National Championship his first 2 years, but it was never going to happen that fast. Many here must have completely forgot how far this football program fell during RR's time in Ann Arbor. Yes Hoke recruited well (at least on paper) but we saw his results with some of those recruits on the field.
Now fast forward to this year, look at all the young players that are playing. Most are Harbaugh's recruits that are playing in games. He is rebuilding this program from a foundation that Hoke started, after RR single handling drove the program into the ground. I truly feel it will be a Alabama or OSU type program in the next couple years.
You can start seeing it in recruiting already. Look at who some of the schools are that Michigan is going up against for elite players.
I am not blind, this season has not looked like we thought it would with a returning QB and some talent on both sides of the ball, but I would much rather have our guys learn from their mistakes being 2-0 and a Top 10 team, than a 0-2 team. I mean think about that for a minute. When was the last time prior to the last couple of seasons have we, as fans, been able to bitch about so many things about a Top 10 team?
I guess my point being we can all complain about play calling or our thoughts on who should be playing, but I don't believe anyone on this board has more knowledge about this team, than the coaching staff that is making the calls.
All of the games on Michigan's schedule are winnable, they may not be pretty, but the defense is going to be special, maybe like the 1997 one and those old enough to remember that season, Michigan was not burning down barns on offense that season.
Some of us need to be happy with what we currently have and stop worrying about the little things.
