For several reasons. The primary one being I can’t watch any football before Michigan plays. I can’t watch without thinking about what I hope/expect to see from the team..Victory, Physicality grinding down our opponents defense, Explosive scoring while dominating the 3rd quarter, and Minter bringing heat to either blow up drives or cause turnovers to close out the game. Man, I feel that Jim is definitely going back to the league. There’s going to be 10 jobs open..maybe more. He’ll have his pick of jobs. My guess is it’s either Chicago or the Chargers job. I don’t see him taking on the Panthers gig..what a disaster palace that place is. Harbaugh’s not taking on a full rebuild. He could win 10-11 games with the Bears after drafting Harrison jr and fixing the OL next season. I firmly believe Jim is on the spectrum and his gift is being a football savant. Someone is going to pay him Sean Payton money to do what he does..win.

So let’s say Michigan has decided to replace jim with an inside the program hire between the 2 Coordinators, Minter and Moore. Man, the more I think about it, I think hanging on to Minter by making him the next HC is more important than keeping Moore. It took a long time to finally have a sophisticated defense that helps itself by always keeping the offense guessing..are they blitzing the safety and linebacker or just bringing 4? Are they playing press man cover one or dropping into Tampa 2 or Cover 3? Are they playing a deep shell zone or triple covering Harrison Jr? That’s what I love about Minter and his Ravens pro set modern NFL defense of disguised coverages and blitzes. I think choosing Minter as HC is a must. Offense is supposedly what puts butts in seats and eyes on the OLED screen (cant say “tube” anymore), as a result, finding a creative OC is far easier than finding a guy like Minter, who can change the momentum of any game if you give him 10 minutes at halftime to make adjustments. We have never had a DC like Minter who consistently outsmarts the opposing team after the half. I new that osu game was over when Michigan was leading at the half. I said to my Pops, they may score just because of the talent of their WRs, but Minter is gonna make them work for every point. As long as Michigan’s Offense keeps responding with drives for scores…this game is over. I got a little worried when they kicked a field goal instead of driving for a TD, but the D line got to McCord when it counted, and middle 3 star from Ohio Rod Moore, who never got even a single call from Ryan Day, made an interception to end it all.

Minter has helped Moore become an impact player for Michigan and other guys out of nowhere like Mason freakin’ Graham..a guy I guarantee becomes a playmaker when he is definitely drafted. Man, I hope either the Lions or Eagles get him. There really is no dilemma here…Minter should be the next HC of Michigan when Jim leaves.
