A report came out today that Michigan defensive coordinator Jesse Minter interviewed for the Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator vacancy. After speaking with a source close to the happenings inside Schembechler Hall, I have gotten a clearer sense of what's going on.
Here are the quick hitters of what I've gathered:
- Can confirm the interview with the Eagles did indeed happen. What I cannot confirm is the timeline of when it happened.
- Those inside Schembechler are of the belief that Minter would take the job if offered.
- What's unclear as of this writing is where Minter sits on the Eagles' pecking order and those inside Schembechler don't really know either.
As of right now, I am under the impression that Minter is being considered for the job but I am not getting the sense the Wolverines are in danger of losing him just yet. I could be wrong, of course, and things do change, obviously, but that is the sense I am getting at the moment.
If anything changes, I will let you all know.
