There's been obviously rumblings on Braelon Allen for a while now when we reported last month that Donovan Edwards and other players were openly recruiting the Wisconsin player to Michigan.
It's safe to say that those recruiting efforts have been heard loud and clear.
I am not ready to sit here and FutureCast Allen to Michigan but multiple people I speak to inside Michigan circles sound VERY confident about it happening.
I've had varied responses ranging from "done deal" to "it's going to happen sooner rather than later."
While I take stock into those statements and it's part of the reason why I am writing this update but we've seen the portal work in funny ways for the Wolverines in the past so I guess part of my hesitancy to lean into things is what's happened in the past.
My understanding is that Allen would be gone after next season, so any credits that transfer over probably aren't going to impact too much.
We'll see what happens but there's plenty of smoke in Ann Arbor that this thing is going to happen. We shall see.
