MSU hosted some games on opening week (for HS football) at some point in the last 5 years. Wayne State has been doing it annually for awhile now. Grand Valley State is starting something this year on the west-side of the state.
Not a bad idea --- but not sure if it will move the needle that much. If U-M does do this annually, they probably will gradually draw the better teams away from the Wayne State event.
