All of this pontificating on if Jim is back is pointless in my opinion. The only way out of this is if Warde lets him go and all signs point to that as a no.
- No NFL team is going to take a chance on Jim in 2020 now maybe a few years ago when he still had some shine on him but now thats all gone.
- Harbaugh's ego is going to bury this program. He thinks/ feels he is worth 8 mil per year wants to "bet on himself" and prove what he can do next year. Good luck with that, next years schedule is brutal. I say 6 wins would be a success with this current team. Think about the media heat once we lose a game this program will implode again like this year and it will be a sh*t storm.
Warde can save this by one of two ways. Fire him and move on or, unequivocally show outward support of Jim and boost up that 3 year deal, but make Jim retool the entire program from assistant coaches, to recruiting staff, to strength staff and so on. If Jim is back on that 1 year deal we are toast as a program.
