First, let me be clear that I have no idea who is actually on their roster. CMFT's use of the transfer portal transformed their team and until a depth chart comes out, it will not be possible to know who is playing or on the roster with a chance to play.
There are some tidbits I gleaned from the first practice.
1. Payton Thorne is repping at 1's at QB. He was a 55% passer with 3 TD/ 3 Ints. For the love of all things holy, YESSSS.
2. Eli Collins is at RB. He must have gone on a speed diet since he got benched last year. Or their stud transfer from nowhere state isn't as advertised.
3. Ben Van Summerin is repping with the 1's at linebacker. If he starts, that says a lot about the state of the linebacker room.
These are just some snippits from practice. Lots of their transfers were underclassmen so how they fit into this season is a mystery.
