Have seen this for years and its still going on. When the bullets start to fly, tall Offensive Linemen
dont get low enough for leverage. They get folded in half by shorter Defensive Linemen.
Yet, year after year, we recruit tall linemen. Mostly we recruit tall OT's, then when they dont pan out, we slide them down the line to Guard.
Then, year after year we wonder why our Guards play too high.
So, look at us this year, LG, 6'6 and our RG what,,6'7"?? Nor are they speed demons.
Ryan gets pushed around, yet I expect mistakes as a new starter. Please tell me why or how a 335lb Linemen gets pushed on his A over n over??
