Agents don't care about teams or bowl games or commitment. Agents only care about money. Their strategy is to try to sign as many top athletes as they can before another agent gets them. It's an aggressive cutthroat business. They have figured out that they can play up the injury angle to get a kid quicker than if their only lure was money. So, "screw the bowl game, sign with me and get paid" is the new pitch. Agents aren't going to let up. So, this problem will continue to grow. I read where one kid said he was getting calls from hundreds of agents, and he had no idea how they got his contact information. By the way, that young man said there is no way he would consider sitting out his team's bowl game.
