How many of you think this is our greatest recruiting class ever as of now? I really believe it is based on need and immediate impact players. I’m very happy with the finish even though Harrison would have the cherry on top it’s all good.
Going into this recruiting cycle we needed to address speed and getting more athletes at every position. Due to how many guys leaving early and some transfers we needed some guys who could help with depth and guys who could start right away.
Based on our history I don’t think we could have imagined such a great finish. If u would have told me we would have held on to a elite California Running Back(Charbonnet), Flipped 2 corners (Sainristil and Perry) who were both committed to great programs and defensive coaches, get a legit top tackle prospect (Keegan), a kid who had good enough academics to get into Stanford (Cornelius Johnson), and flipped back arguably our best prospect (Dax Hill) from the mighty Bama, I’d have said 0% chance based on the late losses we have every cycle.
We held on to all our commits today and Flipped our Top Targets. During the cycle, We also Flipped a top QB (MacNamara) from our rival. Got a elite RB, got some maulers and athletes on the offensive line, picked up speed and playmakers at WR and TE. We got some very physical players on the D-Line and Linebacker/Viper who have some good IQ’s. We added Speed and size in the secondary.
Great Job by the coaching staff especially the new guys like Warriner, Washington and Moore. Guys like McDaniels who only had 2 weeks too keep the WR’s together and land Cornelius, and Dudek behind the scenes. I also wanna thank Chris Balas, Brandon Brown, Austin Fox, Jim S and the other insiders for the great information they provide. Hopefully we aren’t done and land some more.
