This coaching staff sees the symptoms. We all saw it.

Recognize the problems
Our corners are inadequate in MAN coverage (the worse news is that there are many far better receivers in the Big Ten)
Our pass rush is being negated with short drops and quicker throws (no sacks today)
The OL is not creating a strong pocket for Joe (too much pressure)
Joe Milton is not consistently accurate beyond 5-8 yards. (in two games Joe still has not completed his "signature" deep ball)
Joe is too quick to get "happy feet" when he feels pressure flushes out of the pocket. (Joe had 12 rushes, more rush attempts than Charbonnet, Haskins, Corum or Evans)
When defenses "pack the box" they are forcing Joe to make decisions and make throws over the top. It is taking us out of our running game. Its not working out well for us

Figure out solutions
A little ZONE coverage perhaps???
Middle Blitz by the safety to get more pressure on their QB
Can we get some MAX PROTECT once in a while?
Work with Joe on pre-snap reads and progressions so his decision-making is quicker
Air the ball out deep and early a couple of times to keep defense honest (why have they not done this??)
Joe MUST work on hitting those intermediate throws and the RB vs. LB matchups to make the defense pay for packing the box
If we are going to stretch the defense we must actually try to STRETCH THE DEFENSE

This offense was put in a small box today by MSU that was easy to defend. that was the downfall
