1. MSU is a pedestrian offensive team, no surprise. Slow up front, and not one of their better OL units. Decent at wr. Ok at qb with upward potential. But we know how much emphasis MSU puts into this game. They tend to save a bunch of things for this game. Remember the first drive last year? MSU went right down the field. Expect them to do something similar and break tendency to try and score early because....
2. This is a young MSU team and they've played zero road games. It's impossible to believe they won't be worse on the road or lack some confidence. That's why dantonio will do anything to score early.
3. This will be billed as a defensive struggle. But UM shouldn't take the bait. This isn't the 2013 MSU D or even 2015 MSU D. Don't go in with the mindset that this is a 17-10 game. We need to go after the weak underbelly of MSU which is their pass d. I've seen nothing to show their LB can cover so we should attack early with the TEs. If we put MSU in a hole, we will force lewerke into some mistakes with the run taken away.
4. Dantonio has covered every UM line. Pretty amazing as much as I hate the guy. But at some point, you're due for a bad one right? Even Tressel got whipped once in 2003
5. If UM is going to be aggressive, then OKorn needs to be smart. If he turns it over early, then I could see Harbaugh taking his chances with a 13-7 type game. He's not going to let 2016 OSU happen again, if you beat UM, you have to beat our defense
