While I do not like Coach Urban Meyer
he isn’t wrong that there are issues in the Michigan football team / program
my read is a bit different then his in why
We have a dogma and fear issue
1 - dogma in keep doing what isn’t working well after it is shown to not work
This is true in both sides of the ball but mostly true on Defense
2 - fear in that our team and coaches are so fearful of losing or making a mistake they actually make mistakes and lose
fear is the mind killer - it keeps you from excelling in all things
and the team played with fear on Saturday (and frankly versus OSU since 2016)
Coaches dogma kept them in bad spots all night - no adjustments
Jim needs to do something dramatic to not lose the team And do it ASAP
we have too many leaders out on both lines to keep doing what we have done
it isn’t working
my own idea - fire don brown and make Brian Jean Mary the dc for the rest of the season or demote Dom
we need dramatic action to re set the minds of the team and program
we have a game to play Saturday
Rutgers has momentum we have fear (again) and dogma
