How is it that we have a young man in Evans who chose to except to have to sit out a yr, did what was asked of him in terms of his penance, but we still have this “entitlement issue” that is apparently running rampant in our program?
Now I get that one man’s decisions/attitude/outlook won’t necessarily translate in others... but... doesn’t it seem like the coaches would seek him out to try to lead the effort in eliminating any attitude issues? I mean, he’s the “old man in the room”, has the “life experience” if you will. I know I’d be asking him, a teammate/peer to these certain kids, to help try to talk some sense into them. Try to guide them. Be a true leader.
Insiders, any knowledge on whether that has actually happened?
Just seems like he would be an invaluable asset to the coaching staff in regards to this issue.
