Michigan’s issue and it is pervasive is entitlement
some players feel entitled to play
the team seems to feel entitled to win and have teams just give up because we are “Michigan - the winningest program of all time”
we have a coach that is too loyal to some on the staff like they are entitled to keep a job
We have some players families who think they are entitled to take shots at the staff and program
we have the whole “Michigan Man” aura has become a sense of entitlement by some - they deserve global trips and new weight rooms and the best of the best all the time
the end result just like entitled kids is mentally weak people that when the going gets rough - fold
that is jims biggest issue
the PSU game was toast from the outset given a call last week with parents and the staff
for the most part it was a bitchfest and openly highlighted the divisions among the team and between some parents and the coaching staff
perhaps the only item I heard that I agree with is that some players in D should be getting some rest and more guys playing and better adjustments being made
comments like those by mrs mayfield are total crap
Joe Milton has not been set up to fail
he and his teammates have failed eachother
his “I don’t give a $hit” play on Saturday isn’t the coaching staffs issue directly - but really an outgrowth of the entitlement many feel - poor development - misguided loyalty and a total lack of heart
Joe not stepping up butrather acting like a spoiled brat since he was benched in NJ is highly disappointing
for those asking for Jim to be fired
he won’t be and should not be
he needs to be given a chance to fix this - he has earned that right - maybe he will - maybe he won’t want too stay - we will see - this has been a tough year - have coaches with personal issues that are clearly impacting how they coach and one coordinator that appears to have past his prime
what jim should do (at the end of the season)
let Don brown go
let Matty D go
figure out if Josh can be a good OC (if not he is gone too)
All coaches need to be reviewed- including Jay harbaugh
guys like Derek mason - Mike hart - and perhaps tim beck need to get long hard looks to join this staff
in recruiting
for all the money spent and resources put in
clearly a major underperform - maybe a a good high school coach from DTW should be brought in to lead this
2020 has been a crap year
this only makes it crappier
for the next two games only young men that want to play for michigan should play
jim needs to be like Bo
if you don’t want to be here - leave
it is a long way from “those who stay will be champions” but you have to start somewhere
getting rid of the entitlement and getting some heart is a good start
