My expectations for DPJ were not high for this year as empirically it is clear excelling as true frosh at WR doesn't happen often. Would like your honest assessment of just one element of DPJ's game, without trashing me for asking - for whatever reason DPJ does not appear that fast. Have felt this all season, was somewhat expecting a positive change with his experience through the season. Arguably DPJ's top play this year was the 79 yard return against AFA (imagine if this didn't happen!) - just rewatched it (again), impressive run, but did not look like he had blazing speed. At the time I thought it was my perception (still a possible explanation). Given what I have seen since I would say DPJ's speed is average, maybe above average - but not elite. To me Peppers looked dramatically faster with the ball. As does McDoom. I didn't notice a speed differential between Black and DPJ. So, the question is, am I the only one that perceives DPJ's speed as just OK? (I acknowledge speed alone ensures nothing, just testing a thesis that the consensus of DPJ's balling speed may not be accurate).
