Does anyone know how our plays are actually being called?

It's common knowledge that plays are somehow called by committee and that Jim somehow has veto power, but how does it really work? I want details.

Do Drevno and Pep take turns per series? This would be illogical, but it honestly kind of feels like it at times.

Do they take turns per play? This seems like it would be incredibly ill-advised. The total lack of cohesiveness would be..... well... never mind.

Ok, so the least illogical theory is that Drevno is calling the run plays and Pep is calling the pass plays, but who decides if it's a run or pass play?

You're not going to be able to convince me it's Harbaugh making that decision every play because that would require an almost unthinkable level of dialog over the headset, and unless the cameras are instructed to only catch Jim when he's standing there hunched over looking nervous/scared/constipated, I don't think that intense level of dialog is taking place.

I want so badly to blame the approach more than I want to blame the capability of the men, but I can't wholeheartedly blame something that I do not fully understand. I'm hoping someone can help me with that.
