Disturbing defensive trend

I'll admit I don't know much about football but I do notice when the other team is running the same play over and over and we can't stop it. The trouble is they seem to basic plays. Last week it was the end around and this week it was the bubble screen. Does anyone know why we are having so much trouble with these basic schemes?
