I have always thought Desmond was under rated and didn't get the
accolades that he should. He's totally aggressive and fearless and has
a radar for the ball and he plays smart.
I think he will play a big part in our new defense this year and will
fit right in to Harbaugh's toughness scale.
Does anybody see him NOT back on the starting lineup?

I am a Trouten skeptical hippo on DM this year. The thing about DM is he looks absolutely stellar vs lesser opponents, ie the C Michigans, Easter, western, plus whatever else we play. But put him on the field with the big names on the schedule he is not physical enough to take on the stronger backs in the hole or he is tom late getting to the hole against the quicker ones. Many plays its a combination. When I played Lb, I loved when linemen tried to block me, bc they were too slow and I loved hitting rbs bc they were rbs and it was my job to maul them. The point being, he is a really really good LB against talent equal to his own or less but put him against the elite college football talent and the effort is there but just not enough of the other things. I love he way Gedeon has played in his limited time, even against the best team in our schedule OSU. Ross j think has the ability, and McCray and Bolden both have shown an ability to be better than Morgan in the areas Morgan is lacking. This is just my opinion. Maybe DM can speed up his reads and thereby play faster, but I don't see it happening for sure.
