Overall, just an outstanding job by the staff. How can anyone not get excited. Jim S can speak to it better than me, but clearly the staff was focused on getting some quick-twitch athletes in the class. We’ve upgraded our speed and have some difference makers in the class. When you look up and down this class, the thought that comes to mind is “balance.” I feel like this as balanced a class as we have had. This class has the chance to be Jim’s best because of the impact players in it, and I think there are impact players at the 5-star and 3-star level. Let’s face it, the Hill signing impacts this class in so many ways, and none more important than perception. We need to have a big year in ‘20 because the talent in the ‘20 class is better than ‘19. This means we have to beat OSU whether that includes Justin Fields or not. Win that game, and the momentum will be off the charts on the recruiting front. The schedule next year provides marquee matchups at home (ND, MSU, OSU). Beat Wisconsin on the road (not easy, but a game we’ll have 2 weeks to get ready) allow the D to gel, and we should be in good shape for the second half of the season (we actually have 2 bye weeks which should help us).
