Sherrone Moore recently confirmed the offensive staff is set and expected to remain the same in 2025 but didn't seem to offer that same confirmation for the defensive staff.

This does not mean anything is for sure going to happen, but worth diving into more.

One move we have been hearing about throughout the season is moving JB Brown to a recruiting role to open a spot for a safeties coach.
This has nothing to do with Brown's performance and more to do with the fact that analysts can now coach during practice, and having a dedicated ST coordinator is sort of a waste. Could Brown potentially coach safeties? Sure, but his ties to Texas and impact on recruiting were big pieces of his hiring.

If Michigan were to make an external hire for safeties, expect Corey Parker's name to come up. He spent last season at Illinois after being at Toledo prior. Parker was spoken to last offseason about potentially joining the staff in an analyst role, but chose to remain at Toledo before eventually joining Illinois.

I am also watching Brian Jean-Mary. Don't be surprised if his name starts to be tied to SEC openings, potentially Florida. Billy Napier is expected to make some staff changes this offseason, and DC Austin Armstrong is already on his way to Houston. Napier has reportedly talked to Charlie Strong about joining the staff in some capacity. Jean-Mary has close ties to Strong from their time together at Louisville, Texas, and USF. Sherrone Moore was with them on that Louisville staff.

If there is an opening at linebackers coach, I believe Michigan will target South Carolina assistant Sterling Lucas. A monster recruiter with ties to the DMV, Lucas just coached Kyle Kennard, who won the Nagurski, and freshman phenom Dylan Stewart on the EDGE. Lucas spent four seasons with the Ravens, 2016-20, while Wink Martindale was DC.
