It’s unfair to compare Harbaugh to Bo. But Bo set the standard here. He would not allow the continuous repetition of mistakes to happen. And I don’t mean that he would just say it’s unacceptable. He would WILL those mistakes out of his teams. He would drill and drill until they were perfected. He wanted to win that badly. All this talk about Harbaugh being competitive, I just don’t see it. He may talk about being competitive, but much like the rest of his program at Michigan, it’s all talk. If he wanted it bad enough, these repeated mistakes would not still be happening. I’m surprised he isn’t utterly embarrassed.
I remember one time when we beat Wisconsin 20-0. After the game, Bo apologized for how sloppy we looked. He didn’t talk about how we competed or how anybody acquitted themselves. The team did not look good. The team needed to get better. The team will get better. The team got better. That was Bo. Goddam he was the greatest.
