Here are tonight's Blue Chips...
*** I put in a new FutureCast pick for 2021 Rivals250 offensive lineman Raheem Anderson to land at Michigan. The Wolverines are making Anderson even more of a priority with Ryan Linthicum off the board, and I expect him to make his way to Ann Arbor soon. Anderson has always mentioned the home feel at Michigan, and the Wolverines have a prime opportunity to shut the door and keep him in state. I feel confident in the Wolverines doing just that.
*** Anderson is a prospect I had an opportunity to see live this fall. I actually wrote glowing reviews about Anderson after watching him in person and feel like he would be a hell of a land for the Wolverines. Anderson is a true center and is absolutely dominant at the position. He plays with a mean streak but also has a high football IQ, which allows him to command the offensive line. I haven’t seen Linthicum live, but I feel like Anderson has an argument as the top center prospect in the country.
*** Michigan recently hosted 2021 Notre Dame center commit Greg Crippen for an unofficial visit. Even if the Wolverines land Anderson, the door could still be open for Crippen as he brings guard flexibility. Crippen remains committed to the Irish, but I wouldn’t be surprised if that relationship eventually comes to an end. Crippen has legitimate interest in Michigan, so we are going to continue to monitor him closely.
*** Michigan is also in the mix for 2021 Fort Worth (Texas) All Saints center James Brockermeyer. However, this is more of a long shot recruitment. Yes, Brokermeyer has visited and is looking to return this fall, but his connections to Texas are so strong. His father played there and his older brother is currently on scholarship for the Longhorns. It’s going to take an amazing visit to create more movement with him and his brother, five-star 2021 tackle Tommy Brockermeyer.
