Here are tonight's Blue Chips...

*** Yesterday, we talked about some 2022 offensive linemen around the top of the recruiting board. Another prospect high up there for the staff is Rivals250 Federal Way (Wash.) Todd Beamer tackle Malik Agbo. New offensive line coach Sherrone Moore was just on the phone with Agbo last week, and the Wolverines are looking to create some movement. Agbo may be way out in the Pacific Northwest, but he is very open to leaving the region. In fact, LSU is considered the early leader in his recruitment. Now, West Coast programs like USC and Washington are very involved, but again, Agbo is willing to explore options away from home. Agbo is still familiarizing himself with Michigan, but the Wolverines have piqued his interest as of late.

*** Michigan put an offer on the table for four-star Trussville (Ala.) Hewitt Trussville tackle Riley Quick earlier this month. While Quick is still getting familiar with the program, Moore is making him feel like a priority target early on. Moore also has some help in this recruitment. Michigan offensive coordinator Josh Gattis helped recruit Quick's older brother, Pierce, during his time at Alabama. Michigan is also making a strong effort to recruit the state of Alabama harder. Analyst Aashon Larkins has been big in that movement. Larkins recruited the state heavily during his stops at Bethune-Cookman, where he also served as the team's recruiting coordinator, Jacksonville State and The Citadel. Larkins will be involved in basically every Alabama recruitment. Quick is high on schools like Auburn and Georgia Tech, but he does have legit interest in U-M.

*** Michigan recently made the Top 8 for Rivals250 Paintsville (Ky.) Johnson Central tackle Grant Bingham. Bingham was in constant contact with former U-M offensive line coach Ed Warinner and was becoming more and more interested in the program. Moore has done a nice job picking up contact with Bingham, and he remains high on the Wolverines. Bingham was looking to make a visit to Michigan this spring but with the dead period extended that won't happen. Still, Bingham may make some self-guided tours before making a decision. Notre Dame and Kentucky seem to be on top, but Michigan has room to move up.

*** Rivals100 Seattle (Wash.) Rainer Beach tackle Josh Conerly was a top priority for Warinner before the latter's departure from the program. While he wasn't brought up when speaking with a program source, he is a prospect that Moore will likely check in on soon. Conerly is a high academic kid and loves Michigan's NFL Draft production upfront — the Wolverines actually offered Conerly during last year's draft. I spoke to a source close to Conerly tonight, and he told me that Alabama, Texas, Washington and USC are some of the schools recruiting him the hardest and standing out. He added that Conerly, like Agbo, is open to leaving the region.

*** One name that I forgot to mention was Maplewood (Minn.) Hill Murray School tackle Lucas Heyer. Michigan is closely evaluating. If they decide to make a push, I believe the Wolverines land him. This is the exact same situation as Braden Miller, who I mentioned last night. Heyer is very high on Michigan and really likes Iowa, Minnesota and Nebraska as well. He wants to stay in Big Ten country.
