*** Five-star 2022 Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei cornerback Domani Jackson will be in Ann Arbor for a visit the weekend of Nov. 14 when Michigan plays host to Wisconsin. With the ongoing dead period, Jackson will not be able to actually be in the Big House for the game, but he will be able to take a self-guided tour of the campus and check out the festivities around town. This is the weekend that several Michigan commits are planning to be in Ann Arbor as well, so Jackson will have a chance to get to know them. Jackson has never visited Michigan, so despite limitations, this is obviously HUGE news for the Wolverines.
*** I've always said that Michigan has a legit chance to land Jackson. His father grew up a Michigan fan and his entire family still lives in Ohio. While there has been some recent confidence on the USC side, Jackson isn't a true California kid. He moved around when he was younger and is very open to leaving the West Coast. That's why schools like Ohio State, Clemson and Texas, which is also set to receive a visit soon, are in play for him. I'm not saying Michigan will land him. It's obviously going to be a tough battle. But the Wolverines have done a marvelous job with him and his family early on.
*** Michigan made the Top 4 for 2022 Rivals250 Fond Du Lac (Wis.) St. Marys Springs offensive lineman Billy Schrauth. U-M offensive line coach Ed Warinner has been in constant contact with Schrauth, and his NFL production is definitely appealing, but right now, I would say Notre Dame has the overall advantage. Ohio State and Wisconsin are the two other finalists. Michigan also made the Top 5 for 2022 Rivals250 Strongsville (Ohio) High offensive lineman Blake Miller. Michigan hosted Miller for a visit before the dead period, and he has high interest, but I feel like the Wolverines are running second here. I have my FutureCast pick in for Ohio State.
