Here are tonight's Blue Chips...
*** Michigan offensive line coach Ed Warinner had a busy day on the recruiting trail today as he got on the line with Rivals100 2022 Princeton (N.J.) The Hun School offensive tackle Jacob Allen. I did not get to see Allen during my swing through New Jersey this month, but obviously, he has an extremely high ranking and is a prospect the Wolverines really like. Warinner has been in touch with Allen since offering in April, and Allen hopes to make a visit after the dead period. Right now, his recruitment seems pretty open. He also has offers from Auburn, LSU, Miami, Notre Dame, Texas A&M and others.
*** Warinner also spoke to another four-star prospect in 2022 Paintsville (Ky.) Johnson Central offensive lineman Grant Bingham. The Wolverines extended an offer in May and have been in touch with him ever since. Bingham seems to be high on Notre Dame and Kentucky early on, but Michigan is definitely a program on the rise in his recruitment. Obviously, the dead period is ongoing, but I wouldn't be surprised if Bingham makes his way to Ann Arbor in the near future for an unofficial visit.
*** Lastly, Warinner had a 40-minute Zoom call with three-star 2022 Chicago (Ill.) Marist offensive tackle Deuce McGuire. Michigan has not offered McGuire at this time, but he is a prospect firmly on the radar. I actually caught up with McGuire's father, Dan, earlier today, and he was super excited about the call. Dan told me that the family is hopeful an offer will come and is very much planning to see Ann Arbor after the dead period. He also raved about Warinner and said he is one of the nicest and most genuine coaches they've talked to.
