*** While I was on vacation, Michigan extended an offer to three-star Concord (Calif.) De La Salle cornerback Zeke Berry, who gave Arizona a verbal commitment last month — take that Don Brown! New Michigan Director of Player Personnel Courtney Morgan knows those around Berry and is going to help Michigan make a big push in this recruitment. I wouldn't be surprised if Michigan gets him on campus for an official visit this fall. With that said, I'm told Berry is more comfortable with the idea of playing in the Pac-12 at this time. We'll see if Michigan can change that with a strong visit and more communication with Morgan, a fellow California native.

*** So who else is on the corner board? Michigan is continuing to recruit Kentucky commit Andre Stewart, who is looking to come in for an official visit this fall. A date is still being sorted but will likely end up being the weekend of the Washington game — teammate and top target Joshua Josephs is coming in for an unofficial visit that weekend. Michigan hosted Rivals250 cornerback Ephesians Prysock for an unofficial visit for the BBQ at The Big House. I am expecting him to return for a fall OV. Michigan recently offered ex-Ohio State commit Jaheim Singletary. Michigan is very much on the outside looking in. I don't expect the Wolverines to be much of a factor as he wants to stay south.

*** I've never been high on Michigan's chances to land Rivals250 tight end Oscar Delp, but it is worth noting that he named the Wolverines in his Top 4 while I was on vacation. Michigan was the first school to offer, and he did make an official visit in the fall. I also found it interesting that U-M tight end commit Marlin Klein is actively recruiting the fellow Georgia prospect. However, I am not any more optimistic than I have been. I still expect Delp to stay south. Clemson, Georgia and South Carolina are the other finalists.

*** Michigan did not make the Top 3 for five-star defensive tackle Walter Nolen. I've been hinting that this one has been going the wrong way over the last several weeks. As I first reported, Nolen and his family moved to Knoxville this offseason after originally planning to move to the Detroit-metro. That was a big blow to Michigan. Let's just be real here. Nolen's entire decision is going to be based on NIL. There is a reason his Top 3 is Georgia, the school I feared the most during my time on the Texas beat, Texas A&M, the school I feared the second most during my time on the Texas beat, and Tennessee, which made a huge splash with its NIL pitch this offseason. All three of those schools will do whatever it takes with NIL and Nolen. Michigan will not. Unless that changes, say goodbye to Nolen forever.
