There has been considerable back and forth about the merits of holding a scholarship that could otherwise be used more productively. I have complete faith that John Beilein will do what is right even if it is not popular with the fans or on this board.
These decisions are his and his alone to make. John Beilein is a man of absolute integrity in a sport (and a world) where the overwhelming majority of coaches consider first what is best for them, personally. They take a will win at all costs approach.... where decisions of integrity comes in a distant second.
OUR coach stands in stark contrast to that.
Committing to do the right thing means nothing if you only do it when it is convenient.
I am proud of Beilein and our team and I simply thank God, that John Beilein is our coach and the man that teaches our players about what is right.
