Awarding the B1G title based on total wins and not winning % would be absurd

First, it would be the exact opposite of what the conference did in football when IU had more wins than OSU in the B1G East.

Second, you can't overlook that Michigan missed three games that it was very likely to win. Even if Illinois went 16-4 and UM went 14-3, can anyone really seriously argue that UM would have lost 2 of these 3 games -- IU at home, NW on the road and PSU on the road.

Whatever the B1G decides to do, it needs to announce it this week, because if total wins is the determining factor, then Michigan should have an opportunity to pick up another game between the last Sunday and the B1G tournament.
