I know I can always count on great, sage advice from my fellow Fort members! Unfortunately I have NEVER visited Seattle. Our son lives and works in Seattle and loves the area (especially for the hiking & scenery). Well, he’d better ❤️ it as about thee only practical thing that I know about Sea-Town is that it is $$$$$.
Our son has been there for 8 years and been in a really lousy apartment during that time. The ONLY two pluses is that it is relatively cheap rent and convenient location.
QUESTION: He is considering buying a 1-bedroom condo in the Seattle city limits (a kinda-sorta okay area/location. Asking $330K😳😱…yea, Seattle pricing.
Do you see prices dropping there anytime soon? Our son keeps waiting on things to tank BUT prices are still HIGH (albeit slower climb); likely slowed due to rising interest rates.
Any comments on the market there? Waiting to buy seems to have been bad strategy !
