Another reason it so difficult to compete with the southern schools in football

It’s just another world down there in the level of insanity with football dominating the community.

It is reported in the newspaper today that CMU’s athletic director is leaving the school for a job with Florida State. He is going to be the CEO of the Seminole Booster Club. That’s right. No word on financials but the booster club must be able to compete, at least, on salary.

Booster clubs are big down South. They can entice a person from a prominent athletic position to lead their fund raising group. The Great Lakes has their financial contributors but don’t compete on that level.
