I was asked a question about McCarthy in our Q&A thread but figured it deserved its own post.
JJ McCarthy’s shoulder is still on track. He’s counting down the days until he’s able to throw again, I do not know the exact number but it’s around a 14-day period, give or take.
He continues to work with Tom House in Sam Diego to help with his throwing motion in hopes the motion can relieve some stress on the shoulder. House is considered a “guru” in his craft so McCarthy is fortunate to be under his tutelage.
