After watching the ND vs Indiana game

and watching the build up to the three games today. I believe in a few years the playoff will be expanded to 16 teams. Then no one gets a bye with the top 8 teams playing all home games in round one. This would have had 4 games in very cold weather and 1 in Oregon cold weather. These brackets would change yearly, but imagine the excitement.

This format has the best chance to eliminate the CCG. But I am now convinced the B1G needs to add 2 and go to 4 pods of 5 each. This will balance out the schedules and guarantee everyone plays everyone at least once every 3 years.
