We will see the poise, leadership and game management skills of Cade on display Saturday along with the play making ability of JJ at a level we have not seen yet this year. We have had glimpses of it already, but they are ready now (and I expect the coaching staff is prepared with play calling nuances) to show us why we may have the best one, two punch at QB of any team out there. It is rare to have two competitors who are comfortable with their situation, like each other and truly (not just lip service) have the respect and loyalty of their teammates. The stage is set for us to see something special on Saturday and I’m betting we will. The Brotherhood is stronger than The Mercenaries in ways that will help us overcome the usual pitfalls of a rivalry game notwithstanding some chunk plays by MSU that will create momentary indigestion during the game. Turnovers and special team play can be neutralizers, but that is one of the beauties of this year’s team—they don’t turn it over very often and they get the better of special team plays game in and game out. In other words, they are built to deny what Sparty needs to prevail this weekend.
