Now that this is behind us and I can speak to some of what I knew along the way.
1. When Jim came to U of M he verbally committed to Hackett for 7 years and shared he had unfinished business in the NFL. His 7 years was up.
2. Warde has known about the 7 years
3. Warde was aware of Jim's current desire to explore the NFL for almost a month, Jim informed him and there was not the riff that some wanted there to be. Was there passion on both sides? Absolutely. Is Jim at times tough to deal with? Yes. Does Warde move with the sense of urgency some would like him to? No.
4. Warde had a great contract in front of him
5. Jim explored as he said he would and was honest with all
6, Jim had a verbal offer from Minnesota. He wasn't flying out there without one.
7. In the end he chose to stay and I expect this to be his last flirtation with the NFL.
8. Our fan base needs to move on and build on the momentum we have.
9. BIG time NIL developments are coming. Patience grasshoppers.
