Seems like camp offers/commitments are way down.

After 18 camps we're not hearing about new offers at the same rate as last year and there obviously hasn't been any commitments from kids who didn't have an offer until their camp. There are a number of possible reasons: (a) it could be by design after the negative reaction to the kids who were recruited over last cycle, (b) a function of the staff being spread out attending more camps, (c) due to a focus on having camps more to impress already offered recruits than to find new recruits, (d) to 'show' the NCAA that this isn't all about recruiting, (e) some mix of the above, or (f) pure happenstance.

Personally, I think the recruiting strategy has changed a bit now that the staff knows they'll win games and get interest from targets higher up on their board. Either way, I'm glad they aren't offering and accepting commits from a ton of random kids right now.
