*** Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh continued his satellite camp tour on Wednesday in the Chicago suburbs. Harbaugh played for the Chicago Bears and has plenty of ties in the Windy City. Kids and spectators at the camp were extremely excited when Harbaugh arrived at North Central College. Harbaugh was joined by defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald, linebackers coach George Helow, quarterbacks coach Matt Weiss and offensive line coach Sherrone Moore, who recruits Chicago for the Wolverines.

*** Rivals100 Michigan wide receiver Tyler Morris was at the camp with both of his parents. Morris and his family got some down time with both Harbaugh and Moore and really enjoyed having face-to-face interactions with them for the first time in a year. Morris tore his ACL during his spring junior season but is ahead of his recovery schedule. In fact, Morris is projected to be cleared by the end of October. While he does not plan to play as a senior, he does intend to play in the All-American Bowl in January. Morris is fully solid to Michigan and is excited for his official visit on June 18. By the way, Morris has a younger brother, Quinn, who worked out in front of the staff. Quinn is just a 2025 prospect but is one to watch at wide receiver.

*** Michigan freshman quarterback JJ McCarthy FaceTimed with Morris before the camp and told him that he is ready to show him around Ann Arbor during his upcoming OV. The phone was passed around to most of the coaching staff. They were all excited to say hi to their future under center. McCarthy's father, Jim, attended the camp as a spectator and got to meet Weiss for the first time in person. I chatted with Jim during the camp, and he raved about Weiss' football acumen. Top quarterback target Nate Johnson did the same at Elite 11. His analytics expertise should pay off for U-M this season.

*** Rivals250 linebacker Sebastian Cheeks tried to attend the camp today and even made his way to North Central College. However, Cheeks did not register online and was unable to meet with the coaching staff due to NCAA rules (players must be registered for coaches to interact). Cheeks expressed his disappointment but in no way faulted Michigan. Cheeks had a great Zoom call with the entire staff this week, and he is still in the process of mapping out his official visit. While Texas has momentum and is getting him to Austin this weekend, it looks like the Wolverines may get the last OV.

*** Michigan is very interested in two 2022 recruits out of Chicagoland. One is three-star Chicago (Ill.) Kenwood athlete Jalil Martin, who has seen his stock boom over the last couple of months. Martin worked out at Michigan's satellite camp in Big Rapids last week and will be in Ann Arbor this Sunday. Martin has a private workout scheduled with the staff before their on-campus camp. The second is three-star Palatine (Ill.) High wide receiver Jacob Bostick, who is set to make his way to Ann Arbor for an unofficial visit on Monday. Michigan is closely evaluating Bostick, and the trip could result in an offer. Neither worked out today.

*** It's a bit of a down year in Chicago in the 2023 class, but rising Chicago (Ill.) Simeon wide receiver Malik Elzy is quickly becoming one of the most sought after recruits in the Midwest. Michigan was the first to offer Elzy and is high on his list early on. Both Harbaugh and Moore made sure to get some face time with Elzy before the camp started. Elzy did not work out, but I've seen him live in the past, and he's a big, physical, intriguing wide out. Elzy plans to visit Michigan before the month comes to an end.

*** Of all the coaches at the camp, Moore watched his position group the closest. Two players that caught his attention were 2022 Woodstock (Ill.) Marian Central tackle Luke Dalton and 2023 Wheaton (Ill.) St. Francis center TJ McMillen. Dalton has an offer from Arizona State and a few lower level FBS offers. McMillen is listed as a defensive tackle but worked out as a center. He plans to visit Michigan at some point this summer.
