I feel like I’ll end up enraged watching Pat Mahomes confirm my status as an idiot, but I think the 49ers are going to win the Super Bowl. Best secondary in football, best run game, best front 7. Chiefs are soft up front on defense, and I think San Francisco is going to be able to grind them down and control the clock, keeping Mahomes the only place he isn’t dangerous: the sideline. I also sincerely believe Kyle Shannahan is the best coach in the NFL. Look at Atlanta since he’s left, and the incredible turnaround in SF after the disastrous Tomisula/Kelly era. He’s the architect of the most diverse run game I’ve ever seen, and that’s with a QB that essentially never runs the ball himself.
