I picked up my bottle of lighter fluid today, and felt something wet on my sneaker. I looked down, and lighter fluid was pouring out of a hole in the plastic bottle. Not knowing what to do with a leaking bottle of lighter fluid, I took it out of the garage, and laid it on the ground on it's side. More fluid leaked out in a couple places before the leaking stopped. Now, I have two questions:
1) What should I do about the spots where lighter fluid leaked out? One spot was away from the garage. So I tossed a match into it, and watched it burn itself out. The other spot is close to the garage. Will it evaporate on it's own?
2) What should I do about the remaining lighter fluid in the leaking bottle? I don't want to toss it in the trash, for fear that it could create an explosion or fire. The bottle still seems to be one quarter or one third full. How do I dispose of this stuff?
