I only have one credit card and keep pretty close tabs on the charges. At the end of each month I transfer all charges into different categories so I can keep track of what I spend and where.
Last month when I was making my transfers it appeared that I was short one trip to the gas station. I fill up every weekend and it appeared I was one short. I don't keep the receipts so I could not tell for sure, but it looked like I was one short.
I was looking at my statement this morning, being it is the end of the month. I know I had a charge of $250 at Home depo about 3 weeks ago and it is not anywhere to be found on my statement.
Has anyone else ever had this happen? Is it possible that some charges just slip through the cracks and never make it on the bill?
