Minnesota picked first and they have 4 of the 6 players named to the pre-season All-Big Ten first team, including the goalie. Michigan has the other 2, plus a couple more on the 2nd team (none on 3rd team). Minnesota has 2 additional players picked for the 2nd team and one for the 3rd team.
I hope this fires Michigan up a bit, but it should also tell fans this season is not going to be a cakewalk just because we had 4 of the top 5 picks in the most recent NHL draft. Minnesota is a talented, veteran team with an elite senior goalie.
